Apollo Tyres Ltd is planning to set up a 15 MW (2 x 7.5 MW) coal /cogeneration based power plant in Orgadam in Kanchipuram district near Chennai. The project is yet to get environmental clearance and will come up in an area of 2.47 acres of its existing tyre plant.
