Greenstar to expand its Tuticorin plant

Greenstar Fertilizers is planning an expansion programme at its manufacturing facility in Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 3200 million and it will double phosphoric acid production capacity. Its total production capacity will increase from 75,000 tonnes per annum to 1.50 lakh tonnes per annum; create an additional ammonia storage facility with a capacity 15,000 tonnes and install an additional unit to produce six lakh tonnes per annum of Di-ammonium phosphate (DAP) in the next three years. The project is likely to go operational in 2018.
The company manufactures fertilisers such as phosphatic, organic, and inorganic fertilizers; specialty products and industrial products, including gypsum, aluminium fluoride and silica.
