OPG Power to set up phase III 3×80 MW coal power project in Gummidipoondi

OPG Power Pvt Ltd is setting up a 3x 80 MW coal based thermal power project in Gummidipoondi near Chennai. It may be noted, the project has already a functional 2 x 77 MW coal based plant in Chennai. It has finalized Ansaldo as boiler supplier and BHEL as turbine supplier for the project. The project will use imported coal.
