Detergeo Chem is planning to set up a chemical manufacturing facility in Karumbukuppam in Gummidipoondi Taluk in Thiruvallur district of Tamil Nadu. The project involves setting up of manufacturing facilities to produce LABSA 96% and 90%, AOS, SLES, SLS.
It involves setting up of air drying plant, Sulfur Trioxide gas Generation Plant, sulphonation plant, hydrolyzer, neutralization chamber and other facilities. The project cost is estimated at ₹ 150 million. Land required for the project is already available. As of January 2019, the project is in planning stage.
