Samsung is planning to expand its manufacturing facility in Sriperumpudur in Tamil Nadu. The company will make an investment of ₹ 15,880 million to manufacture compressors for refrigerators. It has signed an MoU with the state government of Tamil Nadu.
The new facility, spread across an area of 22 acre, will have capacity to annually produce 8.0 million compressor units, which will be expanded in the future. The compressors produced at the plant will be used in its own refrigerator plant and also be exported.
