Autoliv Inc, a Swedish based company is setting up its manufacturing plant in Cheyyar in Thiruvannamalai district n Tamil Nadu. The project cost is estimated at ₹ 1000 million. Land required for the project is acquired.
The new plant will produce air bags, seat belts and steering wheels. The project is likely to go operational by the year 2023.
