Coromandel Electric Co (India Cements Group) is planning to set up a 105.63 MW gas based project in Valantharavi village in Ramnathapuram Taluk in Tamil Nadu. Currently, the company has a 17.46 MW and a 8.3 MW gas turbine in operation at the plant. Land required for the project is 9.12 acres which is under possession. The project has received environmental clearance in August 2011.
