Huawei Telecommunications (India) Pvt Ltd is planning to set up a manufacturing unit for electronics/telecom hardware and support services at SIPCOT Special Economic Zone, Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu.
The security clearance for setting up of this manufacturing unit has been conveyed to the DIPP and Department of Telecom (DOT) in July 2015. The company has an existing SEZ in Chennai where it manufactures optical network transmission systems.
