India Cements to expand its cement unit at Alathiyur in Senthurai taluk in Perambalur district in Tamil Nadu with an investment of Rs. 150 million. The project involves expanding Cement Plant (4,300 TPD to 6,000 TPD) in an area of 180 acres. Modern dry process technology will be will be used and cement grinding will be carried out in closed vertical rolling mill. No additional kiln will be added. Only additional cement mill will be installed to make use fly ash to produce cement (6,000 TPA).
