Sri-Kalvaperumal-Kovil-Thirukalvanur-Kanchipuram

Sri-Kalvaperumal-Kovil is an important Vishnu temple in Thirukalvanur-Kanchipuram as it belongs to 55th Divya desams of the total 108 Divya Desams. The temple is in midst of Kanchi Kamakshi Amman temple. The temple is also known by name Adi Varahar temple.

The Lord Vishnu here was worshipped by Thirumangaiazhwar.

The significant aspect, here the statute is in the form of Lord Mahalakshmi worshiping Lord Vishnu with folded two hands. There is also a form of Lord Mahalakshmi in Aroopa form here.

According to legends, King Dasaratha of Ramayana period has worshipped here and also worshipped Perumal here.
