Tamil Nadu government is setting up a furniture park in Meelavattan and South Veerapandiyapuram in Thoothukudi in Thirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu. The furniture park will be across 1156 acres of land and will attract investment around ₹ 18,000 million.
The state government has signed up MoUs with Hettich India (investment of ₹7,500 million )New Century Sofa India (₹ 4,000 million ), Deceuninck Profiles (₹ 4,000 million ), Vikas Exports (₹3,200 million ) and Marque Impex (₹ 1,500 million ).
