Varadaraja Temple is one the 108 Vishnu temples of of the world. You will be surprised by the bigger courtyard and a 1000 pillar mandapam as you enter by Rajagopuram for which you need special ticket (INR 3 ). Do not miss it. The hallmark of temple is a colossal high wall which runs around the temple.
The temple is several centuries old, If you are keen, you can walk around and dig out history by yourself.
