Yanmar Group of India is planning to set up a manufacturing facility in Mahindra Industrial Park in North Chennai in Tamil Nadu. The company has signed an MoU with Mahindra Group to acquire land in the park, where it will set up a diesel engine manufacturing facility which will cater to construction and agriculture sectors. The new plant is likely to go operational by the year 2020.
