Sri Valeeswarar Temple is an ancient Lord Shiva temple in Kanchipuram district. The area around is known as Kuranganilmuttam – meaning Monkey and Squirrel Place. The Lord Shiva in this temple was worshipped by Vaali- a brave Monkey king in Ramayana.
