Asian Paints is planning to expand its manufacturing capacity of its two units based at Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu and Ankleshwar in Gujarat.
The company is proposing to increase its water-based paint manufacturing capacity at its plant situated at Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu from 1.4 lakh KL per annum to 2 lakh KL per annum. Besides, the company is also proposing to alter product mix to augment the manufacturing capacity of synthetic resins and emulsions at its manufacturing facilities at Ankaleshwar, Gujarat by 35,000 MT. For these projects, the company is yet to receive necessary approvals.
