Chettinad Cement Corp plans to expand its Kilapaluvur cement unit from 5.0 mtpa to 5.5 mtpa

Chettinad Cement Corp plans to expand its Kilapaluvur cement unit in Village Kilapaluvur in Ariyalur district of Tamil Nadu from 5.0 mtpa to 5.5 mtpa along with one (1x 15 MW) captive power unit. The project expansion will be carried out at its existing premises and will entail an investment of Rs.500 million. In the new cement plant, Cooling tower and boiler blow down will be neutralized in the neutralization pit. The treated effluent will then be sent to Cement plant for equipment cooling and Zero effluent discharge the project to be maintained in the new plant
