Kailasanathar Temple, is a wonderful architecture of sandstone of yester years going back to 6th Century AD. It is built by Pallava King Rajasimha and is similar to renowned architecture of Mahabalipuram .
The site is an UNESCO heritage site. You will be busy with your camera and a delight to photograph those structures, casting myriad shadows and angles. It will take atleast an hour or more to view the sculptures and complete the visit. Since, protected UNESCO site, it is maintained clean and wonderful lawns.
