Sri-Sundara-Varadaraja-Temple-Uthiramerur-Kanchipuram

Sri-Sundara-Varadaraja-Temple is an ancient temple of Lord Vishnu near the Uthiramerur town, an ancient Chathur-Vedi-Mangalam town of Kanchipuram district.

The town finds an important place in ancient Tamil Nadu as you find inscriptions and administrative data of various kings of Pallava, Chola Period as well as later local cheftains like Samburvarayars, Vijaya Nagara Nayaks and Rayars.

The temple is on three levels where Lord Vishnu is on three poses on Nindran (Standing Pose), Kidanthan Pose (Lying Pose) and also on Irundhan pose (Sitting Pose)

According to legends, the Pancha Pandavas have visited Uthiramerur and worshipped Sundara Varadaraja Perumal temple.
