Ashok Leyland is planning to set up a green field facility in Pillaipakkam near Sriperumbudur with an investment of Rs. 41500 million. It will produce light commercial vehicles in joint venture with Nissan. Currently, the company as 17% market share in the segment is planning to launch 2 more products. The new facility will have a capacity to produce 50 units per day.
