Base Batteries is planning to set up battery manufacturing unit in Hosur on an 180 acres campus. The new plant will have a capacity of 3.2 lakh batteries in a year. The project was estimated at Rs. 4320 million. Financial tie-up had been secured to the tune of Rs.2720 million with seven banks including Axis Bank, IDBI and Indian Overseas Bank.
