Chemplast Sanmar plans expansion programme

Chemplast Sanmar is planning an expansion programme with an investment of Rs. 4250 million. The company plans to diversify into manufacture of hydrogen peroxide by setting up a plant in Mettur with an investment of Rs. 1000 million. The expansion will increase the to 18,000 tonne per year. The company also plans to set up a unit for production of chlorinated PVC (CPVC) through a joint venture with a French company Kem One. This project will entail an investment of Rs. 3250 million and will come up at Karaikal in Puducherry.
