Momentive Performance Material is planning to expand its chemical unit in Oragadam in Sriperumpudur in Tamil Nadu. The project involves expanding production facilities of silicone from 1104 MT/M to 3029 MT/M. The project cost is estimated at ₹ 180 million. Land required for the project is already available.
The new plant will produce Silicones & Silicone Derivatives, speciality coatings, synthetic resins, additives, catalysts, sealants etc., As of January 2019, the project is in planning stage.
