Sri Prathigangeshwar Temple-Neyyadivakkam-Kanchipuram

Sri Prathigangeshwar Temple is an ancient Lord Shiva temple belonging to Rajendra Chola period. You will find Chola period inscriptions on two pillars which provides the patronage of Veera Rajendra Chola during the 1000 AD.

The temple is decently maintained and is on the scenic spot of Cheyyar/Palar river.

The temple also has the legend of Sri Kashyapa Rishi had done penance on the site of the temple and worshipped Lord Shiva here.
