Tamil Nadu government is planning to set up its third TIDEL park in Trichirapalli in the state. It plans to set up the park in Panjapur in Trichy district and will invest around ₹ 6,000 million. It has invited request for proposals (RfP) from consulting firms to develop the park. It may be noted,Trichy has several central educational Institutions like NIT, IIM, IIIT and 33 engineering colleges located in and around the city.
